Upcoming Events:

This year we have decided to start a team for the “RELAY FOR LIFE” for the American Cancer Society.  The event will be held on June 4th at Park Terrace Elementary School from 6PM – 7AM.  Please join us we are in need of a team member to walk the track every hour.   Information and forms will be available at Church this Sunday.  This is truly an amazing event and you would be surprised at the number of people that attend this event and support the fight against cancer.

The monies raised for this event all stay in the local area to provide rides for cancer patients, wigs to women, hats for men, look good feel better sessions, personal health managers and much more.

We will be having a bottle drive on the 17th of April (same day as the community wide clean-up).  Notify your friends, families and neighbors.  Bottles can be dropped off at the Church any Sunday before Worship is over and I will put them in the garage.  The monies collected from the bottles can be divided amongst the individuals walking to help reach their donations goal.

Also the last Monday of every month is Christian night at High Rollers if anyone would like to attend.

Thank you ,

Sherrie Gray

Dear Parents and Senior High Teenagers:

Mission Trip Update:  The mission trip is planned and sign-up papers were sent out.  If you are in need of Mission Trip information or paperwork, please see Deb Silvernail at church or school.  The trip is set for July 18th – 25tth, and slots are available on a first come, first serve bases.

Infuzion Weekend:  For the kids that went to the Infuzion weekend, it was an incredible weekend of worship and spiritual growth.  The group of college-aged kids truly touched our lives through the experience.  We may plan an event at our church.

Valentine Dinner:  The Valentine Dinner was a huge success from the food to the live entertainment.  Between donations and sales, we raised $811 for our summer mission trip.  Thank you to all the parents and family members who helped make the night a romantic and delicious success.

30 hour Famine:  During the month of March, we will be collecting donations to fight hunger for children through World Vision’s 30 hour famine (more details found at www.30hourfamine.org ).  Every $30 they raise will help feed a child for an entire month.  The 2-day experience is filled with action-packed adventure that will bring the group closer together as well as closer to Christ.  Our hunger will create a lasting compassion for those in need.

Christ Final Hours:  Intertwined with our fasting experience, we will also study the final hours of Christ’s life.  We will have our own Last Supper, be active participants in the Maundy Thursday church service, as well as viewing Mel Gibson’s movie, “The Passion.”
