The
mission of the Fonda Reformed Church is to develop believers Adult
Studies – Sundays at 9:45 a.m. Adult Sunday School classes will meet from 9:45 -10:45 starting on Sunday, September 7th. Look for signs pointing to the location of the various classes on that day.
Troublesome Bible Passages Why do innocent people suffer? What’s the deal with “speaking in tongues”? Does a righteous God really expect us to forgive people when they do bad things? This 23-week study will follow the study guide titled “Troublesome Bible Passages” by ______________ A team of people will rotate responsibility for leading this study – let Ruthie Cook know if you would be interested in being part of that leadership team. This study promises to be both challenging and enlightening. African-style Bible Study This format of Bible study was introduced to the Fonda Reformed Church by an interim pastor a number of years ago. When the group gets together on Sunday morning, they will read a bible passage from various bible translations and use that as the basis for discussion. If you are looking for a scripture-based study that doesn’t require any advance preparation, this would be a great study to try. If you would like to be part of the team facilitating this study, contact Ruthie Cook. 3 Colors of Ministry 1st Corinthians 12:7 tells us that each member of the body of Christ has been given a gift of the Spirit to be used for the common good. What spiritual gifts have you been given? Where do you fit in to the body of Christ? Have any of your previously-discovered latent gifts become manifest gifts? This class will help to steer you on the path that God has designed for your life. What does it mean . . . What does it mean to be a Christian? What are the beliefs of the Reformed Church in America? What does it mean to be a member of the Fonda Reformed Church? Find out more specifics and have your questions answered in this class. Participants may opt to become members of the church at the end of the class, but are not obligated to do so. |
